It is a single needle machine with a direct drive, an electronic feeding system, and an automatic thread trimmer. Brother has adapted this machine with a new Digiflex system, this is an electronic feed control built into the machine. It is better than a normal control system because the digiflex has improved the reduction of needles breaking, very little to no material slippage and still excellent results. Brother has also included a system that allows you to feed the fabric at a selected timing so that the needle won't break, even when using thick materials. Brother has ensured that this machine sews beautifully on every stitch without any puckering. The all-new double-action thread trimming mechanism cuts the thread right under the needle hole, leaving 3 MM so the thread does not fall out and also prevents the thread from collecting at the needle and prevents bird nesting when you start sewing your next stitch.

 Brother has ensured that there won't be any oil spills on your fabric. This is due to the automatic self-oiling system that brother has adapted. This machine also has a built-in auto-foot lifter, this means that when you finish sewing, you press the pedal with your heel, and the machine automatically bartacks, trims the thread, and lifts the foot up, so you don't have to hassle.
